Born in Bavaria, at home all over the world. From small beginnings in 1845, Develey has extended its Bavarian roots and today is one of the leading producers of mustards, dressings, and sauces in Europe, exporting to more than 65 countries worldwide. Several European condiment brands are part of the Develey group: Reine de Dijon, Mautner Markhof, Löwensenf, Bautz‘ner, Specht, Snico, Kand, and Fersan. In 1971 Develey began a successful partnership with McDonald‘s in Europe, providing Big Mac sauces, and other premium condiments. Additionally, Develey is proud to be the exclusive distributor of international brands, such as TABASCO®, Kikkoman, Del Monte or Gatorade in several countries.

Using Mustard for Cooking

When seasoning dressings, gravies and soups with mustard, take a small amount of the liquid, add the mustard and stir before returning to the dressing, soup or gravy. This will ensure that the mustard liquefies totally.

Steeped in History

Having been used by the Chinese, Greeks, and Romans for thousands of years, mustard is one of the world’s oldest spices.

Mustard Diversity

There are over 40 different varieties of mustard plants, but only three are used in standard mustard preparations: yellow, brown, and oriental.
