Northwest Tennessee Development District, on behalf of the Tennessee Development District Association, presented the John S. Wilder Rebuild Tennessee Award to the Dyer County Legislative Body for the successful recruitment of Develey Mustard & Condiments Corp.

Develey will produce a wide range of mustards, sauces, dressings, and other condiments and will employ up to 150 people in five years. Worldwide, the Develey Senf & Feinkost family of companies employs over 2,400 people in 10 countries.

Michael Durach, Develey CEO, proudly received the award from Ken Thorne, NWTDD Director of Regional Planning. Durach thanked the local elected officials for their collaborative efforts in helping Develey start its first condiment manufacturing company in the U.S. “Thank you all for working together to bring our company to the States. Thank you for making us feel at home here in Dyersburg.”

The TDDA is an association of Tennessee’s nine development districts, which are regional planning and economic development organizations. Awards are given on the basis of nominations from each of the nine development districts and are presented to those local governments and other agencies for special contributions to the improvement of infrastructure systems and/or the quality of life for their citizens.
